After 21 years at Mobil Oil, bitten by the entreprenual bug, Vincent started his first restaurant JJ's in Kodaikanal in the state of Tamil Nadu, India as a hobby for his wife Jessica and her best friend Janet, an American, who also joined in with Jessica to run the place as a pass time for a few months. JJ's came to be known as "HOME OF THE STEAK BURGER" to the Kodaikanal International School students who were the main clients, and soon became familiar to the tourists and locals and the South India Golfers. The success of this small humble 4 seater place gave Vincent the confidence to make his long awaited dream of becoming a successful Restauranteur come true. From a 4 seater to a 40 seater and a few years later to a 200 seater Multi Cuisine Restaurant - RENDEZVOUS in PONDICHERRY, continues to be the celebration of Vincent's culinary artistry till date. |
